Dominions Brazilian Majesty
This coffee comes from the Cerrado region of Brazil. The Cerrado consists of a vast and extraordinarily beautiful savanna, and it is, biologically, the richest savanna in the world. The scenery is truly majestic. That is why we chose “Dominions” for the label of this coffee. The Dominions angels watch over the earthly domain of creation, and the Cerrado region of Brazil is so beautiful, it is not hard to imagine angels taking care of it.
The climate in the Cerrado is also ideal for coffee growing. We start with premium Arabica beans from this special region. The beans are semi-washed, which lowers the acid content significantly. (This is our lowest acid coffee.) Then we roast it just enough to give it bring out the natural sweetness of these beans. The result is a very smooth coffee with a medium body and a hint of sweetness, and no acid aftertaste.
Semi-washed Coffee Beans
The semi-washed process is used with our Brazilian beans. Semi-washed coffees are best described as "wet-hulled", and will have more body and flavor. In this process, the parchment coffee (the green seed with the parchment shell still attached) is very marginally dried, then stripped of the outer layer, revealing a white-colored, swollen green bean. Then the drying is completed, and the seed quickly turns to a dark green color. This process dramatically lowers the acid content of the beans, which lets their natural flavors come forward without leaving a bitter aftertaste.
Why choose this coffee?
This is our mildest coffee. If you are looking for a single-origin varietal coffee that is smooth with a hint of sweetness and very low in acid content, you will love our Dominions Brazilian Majesty Roast.
